Ironically, before the battle started, Sasuke stood atop Madara's head, while Naruto stood atop the First's, symbolizing the similarities between the two and their respective predecessors. When the battle settled, Naruto was unconscious and Sasuke was coughing up blood, Sasuke left to seek out Orochimaru. Naruto scratched Sasuke's forehead protector while Sasuke struck Naruto in the chest. In the end, the two attacked each other with enhanced versions of their signature techniques, the Demon Fox Rasengan, and the Flapping Chidori, with the two attacks colliding and forming a dome around Naruto and Sasuke. As the two fought, both awakened great yet dangerous powers Naruto slipped into his one-tailed transformation, and Sasuke activated the second level of his Cursed Seal of Heaven. As with the fight between the First and Madara, Sasuke, aided by Orochimaru's Sound Four, made his way to the Valley of the End with Naruto in pursuit. Many years later, a descendant of Madara, and the son of the Minato Namikaze fought, Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki respectively. The Second Battle at the Valley of the End Madara on the left (Land of Sound side, formerly the Land of Rice Fields) and Hashirama on the right (the Fire Country's side of the border) (see picture on the right) Hashirama managed to defeat Madara, and in memory of their duel, two giant statues were built on opposite sides of the waterfall. As explained by Sasuke, the battle was so great, that the two tore the earth itself apart and created the valley. It is also there that the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox makes its first known appearance, under the control of Madara. The story behind the Valley was that the two founders of Konoha, Hashirama Senju (the First Hokage and Head of the Senju clan) and Madara Uchiha (The Head of the Uchiha clan) had a battle there as a result of Madara feeling betrayed and wanting revenge against Hashirama.

So we'll stick with that name for the encyclopedia. The Valley of the End (終末の谷 Shūmatsu no Tani engtv= Final Valley) is just on the border of the Land of Fire and the Land of Sound.

Radaghast 13:46, 13 July 2007 (UTC) Ok ok, but Forehead Protector is a more unique name to Naruto which identifies it more as a part of the series than a simple everyday accessory. Luckily, on Wikia it doesn't really matter since we can make one main article and make redirects to it. Second, both terms are used in the manga and in the anime and there is no One Correct Name for it. And yes, there are characters like Zabuza who wear it like a headband but not on forehead. LoneWolf 5 21:08, 5 June 2007 (UTC)LoneWolf 5 I'd like to point out two things here: first, both "forehead protector" and "headband" imply that this thing is used on the head anyway, so we can't find a name that also suits those who wear it like a belt (Lee) or an arm-band (Shika), it's just plain impossible. Another guiding force would be what other sites, such as Wikipedia, call it. (That probably only made sence to me.) And as Dantman as already stated so wonderfully, Forehaed Protector is used more often. ~ Dantman ( talk) current discussion 22:03 (UTC) I'll also have to go with Forehead Protector because not everyone wears theirs as a headband. We can redirect Headband to Forehead Protector. Just because it looks like a headband doesn't mean that that word overrides the real in-universe term for it. As least from what I see it's used more in the show, and it's definitely a proper term for it. What say you? - Dubtiger 12:02, 4 June 2007 (UTC) Are we using the term forehead protector or headband? Most people probably call these things headbands (because they look like headbands), but technically forehead protector is a more accurate term, since the forehead protector is used for preventing the opponent from scratching your forehead so that blood won't blind you. Do not add to unless it really needs a response. It is considered archived - the discussion is over. Note: This topic has been unedited for 5281 days.
